Winner to be featured in Poor Boyz ski film and proskier’s band plays event
Sandpoint, ID – Schweitzer Mountain Resort will host their annual Stomp Games on March 14th through 16th. But the event is moving into the national arena this year. For the first time ever, the winner of the men’s pro skier slopestyle event will receive an invitation to befeatured in the next Poor Boyz Productions ski film. The film will be shot atSchweitzer this spring.
”It is such a cool opportunity for one of our region’s great skiers to break into the national scene,” said Patrick Sande, Schweitzer’s marketing manager who helped negotiate the opportunity. “We are really excited to have Poor Boyz coming back this year and that they have agreed to incorporate a Stomp Games athlete into their next production.”
Also new to the event, Dolman, Black and the Brain, a rock band with a laid back style featuring pro skier Micah Black,will play at Taps that night. The free show is open to people 21 and over.
Stomp Games features men’s and women’s divisions in Slopestyle, Rider X and Rail Jam events. All three events are open to pros and amateurs. The pro division offers a guaranteed $10,000 total cash purse.
Early registration for the event must be received by Schweitzer by March 7th, and forms are available online at schweitzer.com. Registration fees increase on March 8th. Contact the Activity Center at 208 255 3081 for more information.
