As we developed this package we wanted to be sure that it was more than just “show up and go ski with a coach”, so we designed a curriculum based on the needs and interests of this age group. Our intent is to provide the instructors with known guidelines as to how each child is progressing and to track that progress in a way that is easily understood by the kids and their parents. We created a booklet which has two primary sections (tasks/activities, and terrain) and a method for notating to what degree each student has accomplished these goals. As the kid earn stickers/markers and fill up their booklet it will build motivation and ownership of their skiing development.
Due to the flexibility of when kids choose to come to the classes we won’t be able to make set groups who always ski together with the same coach. However, we will form a small pool of instructors who are trained for this program so there will be a high degree of consistency and familiarity with the coaches.BUY NOW »

Welcome to Nice Turns, a four and an eight week long ski program designed for adults. Nice Turns is a skills improvement program of the Schweitzer Snow Sports School taught by Certified Instructors with years of teaching experience.
Nice Turns classes meet once a week, weekdays or weekends, for four or eight weeks. Classes are limited to 3 to 5 students in order to provide personalized instruction. You train with people of comparable abilities to your own. Classes are available for skiers from beginning intermediate level to advanced, whether learning to carve on the blue runs or off piste in the steep and deep. No matter what your level you will see steady improvement over the season.
Nice Turns allows skiers to develop at their own individual pace. This is accomplished by utilizing the "Simple to Complex" skills improvement method. We build a foundation teaching basic skills and then progress to more complex skills and skiing conditions.
Nice Turns utilizes computer and video technology to help improve your efficiency and abilities. The ability to see yourself in action, plus the ability to break down each turn into its components, is a tremendous teaching tool.

Skiers who ski parallel on all blue terrain. We will work on refining our movements on a variety of blue and black rated terrain, trying to carve more on the groomed and maintaining balance and control on the ungroomed.
