Schweitzer Mountain Resort Promotes Rod Engel to Director of Real Estate Development
Sandpoint, ID – Schweitzer Mountain Resort has announced the promotion of Rod Engel to Director of Real Estate Development. His new responsibilities will include overseeing the development of Schweitzer’s on-mountain real estate. Engel’s new position will be in addition to his current role as CFO for the ski resort.
“Rod has played a pivotal part in the growth of Schweitzer over the past decade,” said Tom Chasse, President and CEO of Schweitzer. “We’re happy to have someone with his on-site real estate knowledge to keep the momentum rolling while moving forward.”
Mr. Engel has been with Schweitzer since 1999, when he first started as the Director of Financial Services. From there he rose to CFO and Deputy General Manager.
Mr. Engel received his degree in Finance from the University of Iowa. During his time at Schweitzer he has served various rolls for the Schweitzer Mountain Condo Association, White Pine Lodge Association and Selkirk Lodge Association.
