“Grom” (shortened from “Grommet”)
Definition: A young skier or snowboarder who totally rips
Pronunciation: graw-met
Calling all Groms! This is THE event for all the young rippers (ages 6-11) to prove their stuff on courses designed just for them:
Slopestyle and Rider-X. Competitors can register for one or both. At the end of the day we’ll have awards for the division winners and will announce the winners of the “Top Grom” skier and snowboarder at Schweitzer. (Participants must be registered in both events to be considered for “Top Grom”)
“Top Groms” will get a snowboard or skis (based on their division) and an invitation to participate in Stomp Games.

$20 per event (Slopestyle or Rider-X)
or $35 for both events
Registration opens February 5 - Space is limited!
- Helmets and lift tickets are required for competitors.
- Special ticket price for competitors is $25/day.
- If weather permits, a walking lane will be available for spectators to walk the approximate .75 mile to the terrain park.
- Lift tickets are required if you have skis or snowboards.
