Learn to XC Ski Free Day

The Sandpoint Nordic Club, Sandpoint Sports and Schweitzer Mountain Resort want YOU to learn how to
cross-country ski! They have teamed up to offer free cross country skiing demos and lessons on specifically
groomed beginner trails at “The Roundabout” on the road up to Schweitzer. Free rentals are available as
well, on a reservation basis, and Schweitzer ski instructors will be on hand offering free Classic Skiing and
Skate Skiing lessons. Free hot chocolate and snacks will be on hand to keep everyone warm and fueled up.
Plus, everyone who takes a lesson gets a coupon for a free Nordic Trail Pass to use at Schweitzer at a
later date!
Date: January 12th, 2013
Location: “The Roundabout” on Schweitzer Mountain Road (on the way to Schweitzer ski area) Drive up Schweitzer Mountain Road and park in the first lot at “The Roundabout”
Cost: FREE rentals and lessons!

9am-10am - Fitting for Session 1
10am-11:30am - Session 1 lessons and free skiing
12pm-1pm - Fitting for Session 2
1pm-2:30pm - Session 2 lessons and free skiing
Lessons: Free lessons are approximately 45 minutes long and begin at 10am and 1pm. There will be a Classic Skiing lesson and Skate Skiing lesson. Students need to have equipment on before their lessons start. If students have their own equipment they can join in to either Session for lessons.
