Get off the couch and get on the trails!
The Snowsports Industries of America (SIA) Winter Trails Day offers children and adults across the country the chance to try snowshoeing and cross country skiing and to discover the great fitness benefits of these easy-to-learn sports. Nearly 100 resorts from coast to coast have teamed up with SIA this year to make Winter Trails Day happen.
Schweitzer Mountain Resort’s contribution to Winter Trails Day includes free trail access for the snowshoe trails and the Nordic ski trails. In addition, there are multiple hosted snowshoe hikes going throughout the day. Contact the Activity Center to reserve
Times:
10am-11:30am Interpretive (Nature Based) hosted snowshoe hike
12pm-12:30pm “Intro to Snowshoeing” hosted hike
1pm-2:30pm Interpretive (Nature Based) hosted snowshoe hike
Cost: FREE! You MUST have a pass to access the trails but you can pick them up for free at the Activity Center, Guest Services, or the Ski and Ride Center. Reserve a space for the snowshoe hikes by contacting the Activity Center, 208-255-3081.
