The Schweitzer Mountain Activity Center is at the heart of all the action. We offer activities, services and local's tips on what to do while you're at Schweitzer.
SCHWEITZER ADVENTURE CAMP
You name it, we've got it. Seven fun filled weeks! Each week includes highlights such as hiking, crafts, chairlift rides, swimming, climbing wall, bungee trampoline, and more. Tell your friends all about it! For kids 6-11 years old.
The 2009 summer camp season runs July 6 - August 21.

Transportation from bottom of the mountain included: shuttle leaves at 8 am and returns at 4 pm. Snacks and supplies provided.

Giant Chess and Checkers
Play on an extraordinarily large game board. Games are set up right in the village and available for play from 9-5 daily. Taking a classic game to a whole new level!
Power Tower & Climbing Wall
Both a climbing wall and a bungee trampoline in one place! The climbing wall has four separate routes to test your skills and the bungee trampoline will have you soaring to new limits. Open 11-5 daily. Stop by the Activity Center for tickets and information.

Hiking
Take a hike through the beautiful Selkirk Mountains. Choose to either begin from the village or take the chairlift to start from the top of the mountain. Stop by the Activity Center for maps and information about self-guided hikes.
Disc Golf
What sport could be better than frisbee and golf put together? NEW THIS SUMMER.....A LOWER NINE HOLE COURSE! We've worked hard to bring you an entirely new course in addition to our popular summit course. Longer drives paired with a beautiful hike will ensure a great course. Don't forget to check out our nine hole course located on the summit for beginner to intermediate ability levels. Rent your disc and pick up a map/ scorecard at the Activity Center.
Geocaching
A modern day treasure hunt. This may be the closest you ever get to being a pirate. Use hi tech GPS devices to locate caches located around the mountain. GPS devices are available for rent at the Activity Center. Stop by for your coordinates to find the treasure!
Tennis
Whether you're a tennis pro or total novice, you'll enjoy playing tennis on a quality court in a place with a spectacular view. Racket and court rentals available through the Activity Center.
Lawn Games
Bocce ball, croquet, badminton, donkey ball, and more! Come check out a game for your family from the Activity Center.
Horseback Riding
Ride through beautiful forests and see breathtaking views of Lake Pend Oreille. Rides begin from the Schweitzer village daily at 9am and 1pm. Call the Activity Center today to make your reservation. For ages 8 & up.
Mountain Biking
Whether you like cross country or downhill, we have a trails galore! Be sure to check out our new downhill trail, Bear Grass Cruiser. This 6.5 mile trail is great for introductory downhill riders, families, and anyone looking for a fun easy ride from the top of the quad to the village. Bring your own mountain bike or rent from Schweitzer's own shop, The Source, which is open 7 days a week. Downhill trails are accessed with the chairlift (open daily) while cross country trails can be accessed directly from our village. 2007/2008 winter season pass holders ride free.
Huckleberry Picking
Late July through September, these delicious berries grow in abundance on our mountain. Berry picking is easily accessed from hiking trails. Commercial picking is prohibited. Stop by the Activity Center for tips on where to find the berries and what creative things you can make with them.
Solstice Spa
Enjoy a relaxing massage or body treatment from the experts at Solstice. They offer a number of treatments including zen shiatsu, tandem massage, spa scrubs, and reflexology. To make an appointment, contact Solstice at 208.263.2862 or call the Activity Center at 255.3081.
Summit Activity Center
Stop in at the top of the mountain for a cold brew, snacks, disc golf rentals, kite rentals, and more! The Summit Activity Center, located at the top of the Great Escape Quad, is the place to go for mountain top activities and information. Operating hours: Thursday-Monday 11am-5pm
Selkirk Theater
Tired from a long day of hiking or biking? The Selkirk Theater has a number of movies to choose from. Stop by the Activity Center and we'll put one on for you at no charge!
Kid Activities
