Winter is Right around the Corner           

October is the month for our season pass sale here at Schweitzer and once Halloween is over, you may think there are no more treats to be had. Well, that’s partly true since the season pass deadline ends at midnight on Halloween but there are no tricks here. Instead, here are some other sweet options on the mountain to consider!

Let’s start by talking about what type of skier or rider you are –

Looking to crush it every chance you get? Weekends, holidays, any day that ends in “y?” A full season pass is what you need. Full access to the mountain every day of the season. A must for people who are ready to make a commitment and want to take advantage of the ultimate in convenience. And did you know that an unlimited Schweitzer season pass also gets you 3 free days at 18 other resorts in the US, Canada and Japan? Yup, thanks to our connection with the Powder Alliance, you get great skiing at home and on vacation!  Just remember – the best price on a Schweitzer season pass ends at midnight on October 31!

Not sure just how many days you’ll get to ski this winter but know that your boots and gear are lined up to go? The Lake Louise Plus Card is what you need. Schweitzer partners with Lake Louise’s frequent skier card offering skiers and riders FREE Lift Tickets on their 1st, 4th, and 7th cumulative visits and $20 OFF additional lift tickets on the other paid visits. Not a bad option for someone who isn’t sure about a full commitment but knows that when the snow flies, they want to be on the mountain.

Still on the fence about committing? Or do you just like to ski on bluebird days? Schweitzer’s Ski3 tickets are what you need. During the season, we offer a special discount pack of three fully transferable lift tickets that are good for any day of the season. Perfect to have on hand for that first powder day in December or as birthday gifts for the grandkids. Buy as many as you think you and the family might need. There’s no limit on this pack of treats!

For those of you that can’t find day time to escape to the mountain but really, really want to make some turns, check out our Own the Night program. Schweitzer partners with local clubs and associations to sell discounted night skiing lift tickets good for skiing under the lights on Basin Express and Musical Chairs. Running from January until March, twilight skiing happens from 3:30pm to 7pm on Friday and Saturdays. It’s a fun vibe on the mountain and a great way to kick off a weekend in the winter.

Lived in Bonner County your whole life and never skied or snowboarded before? It’s never too late to take up this local pastime! Our “Ski 4 Free in Three” beginner package gets you 3 lessons, 3 lift tickets and rentals! You’ll start out on Musical Chairs and learn your way up the mountain. Plus, if you finish all three lessons, you get to ski or ride FREE all spring with our Grad Card.

Even just one day out on the mountain is a great start to learning to enjoy the long winters we have in this part of the world. Schweitzer offers daily lessons and as the late great Warren Miller said, “If you don’t do it this year, you will be one year older when you do.”
