Independence Racing Team

Junior Starlight Series 

This series is a low-cost ski racing opportunity for both experienced and new racers and it offers kids a chance to meet others with the same interests. The emphasis is on introducing the fun of ski racing to our youth.

Racers will meet at 5pm on Friday, January 8th, for the first session. During this first session participants will receive coaching, get to practice in a race course, and take two timed NASTAR runs. Subsequent sessions are 5:30-7:00pm on January 15th, 22nd, and 29th, all Fridays. Each racer and coach will take two NASTAR runs on
these days. Team results will be based upon each participant’s best run of the series. Racers missing a day will have their original seeding handicap included in their team’s daily results, without penalty. IT IS OK TO MISS A DAY!! Don’t miss out on the fun just because you can’t make every session. The series ends after racing
(January 29th), with awards and prizes outside the Lakeview Lodge.

Cost

$35 if you already have a NASTAR season pass
$45 if you do not have a NASTAR season pass
* Cost includes NASTAR entry, a t-shirt, and some great prizes!

Location

Meet in the Mountain View Patio in the Lakeview Lodge at 5pm on Jan 8th, ready to ski.
On Jan 15th, 22nd, and 29th meet in front of Gear Check at 5:30pm ready to ski.
