10:00am Skiing update: Groomers are skiing fantastic this morning!
We had a little dusting of snow last night and so far this morning we’ve seen mostly cloudy skies with a few flakes falling here and there. Looks like the weather and snow conditions should be similar to yesterday with heavier/firmer/wetter snow down lower and a little softer up near the summit. With over 70 trails groomed overnight there should be plenty of fun terrain for everyone. The temps will hover right around freezing today (high of 33F) but NOAA is calling for the temps to drop around noon with 1-3” of snow today. The best news… looks like a decent amount of snow accumulation later this week. Keep up those cold weather snow dances and we will see you up here!
Did you know that every Sunday at 10am Schweitzer Ski Patrol is at the Clock Tower to help you learn more about your avalanche beacon. They will even help you practice using it in one of our 2 beacon parks. Even if you don’t have a beacon you can visit the Transceiver Sunday event page and learn more about ski and snow safety. Stay safe and shred on!

1/31 SYSTEM UPDATE:
Schweitzer experienced a disruption to our computer systems that control certain ticketing, dining, retail, and lodging services. We will continue to make specific updates here as the situation changes. Thank you for your patience. We have work through this unprecedented situation diligently, as the security of our systems and guest data has always been our highest priority, and this includes during our restoration and reconfiguration process.
At this time, lift tickets can only be purchased in-person at Guest Services or Ski & Ride Center (cash, check & credit cards). We are currently not accepting new reservations for lodging, lessons, tubing, daycare or event registration, online or in-person. We are honoring all pre-purchased bookings and reservations with receipt, confirmation email or proof of purchase.
Please note the following:
We apologize for any inconvenience. All of this information is subject to change and we will update this information as soon as possible.
We’ve received reports of unusual coyote activity here at Schweitzer. A coyote was last spotted approaching skiers Monday, January 30, by Little Blue Ridge Run and Colburn School area. If you see the wild animal, please exercise caution, do not approach or feed under any circumstances, keep small children within sight and report to Schweitzer personnel immediately. The situation is being closely monitored by Schweitzer Ski Patrol in partnership with Idaho Fish & Game. Schweitzer’s primary focus is safety, and wild animal interactions are no exception.
