Cross Country Adventures are Calling
Cross country mountain bike rentals are ideal for beginner and intermediate riders looking to explore the undulating trails around Schweitzer. Made for climbing and building confidence on the descents, cross country mountain bikes will have you exploring the farthest reaches of the mountain. An open faced helmet is provided with this rental. Cross country bikes are not intended for lift service access, check out our downhill bikes for lift serviced terrain riding! Rentals available from June 13 - September 1, 2025.

Please Note: Mountain bike rentals do not include terrain access. A 2025 bike park season pass or bike lift ticket is required to use the mountain bike rental. Must book at least 24 hours in advance. Guests may book at the Schweitzer summer repair desk day of if product is still available.

Rocky Mountain Slayer - Downhill

Rocky Mountain Altitude - Cross Country
Purpose-built to hit the precise sweet spot between lightweight cross-country climbing prowess and technical precision, the Altitude is the best of both worlds and more. Added levels of stability on fast descents and a pseudo-aggressive seat tube angle provides surprising levels of confidence on tight single track and hairy descents. Mountain bike rentals do not include terrain access.

Rock Mountain Reaper - Youth
Fast, fun and built to take your riding game to the next level. The Rocky Mountain Reaper has all of the burliness of a full-sized trail bike in a junior-sized package. In three different wheel sizes, the Reaper is the real deal for charging trails and singletrack. Minimum inseam is 20.5” to fit this bike correctly.

Rocking Mountain Altitude Power Play - eBike (not available online)
Schweitzer rental shop offers a handful of the Rocky Mountain Altitude Power Play eBikes. With more power to play with, ride farther and longer than you ever thought possible. Strong motor and great suspension will have you soaking up bumps and rocks all day long. Due to the limited number of available eBikes, all rentals for eBikes are on a first come first served basis at the rental shop.

No refunds will be given inside a 2 day cancellation window. A full refund will be provided if made more than 2 day prior to arrival. If you need to cancel, please call Schweitzer Reservations at (833) 854-7669.
All mountain bikers are required to wear helmets. Both standard and full-face helmet rentals are available at the Ski & Ride Center in the Village.
While online options are available and encouraged, it is not required. If you're checking online the day of your visit, rentals will not show as available, but that doesn't mean we don't have any bikes available! Simply visit the Ski & Ride Center and an employee will help you with rentals.
The adult full suspension and youth bikes are allowed on the lift. The cross country bikes are not allowed on the lift and are intended only for xc trails accessible from the Village.
Rental bikes can be used on the lower basin trails but must be returned by 5:30 to the rental shop. Guests are responsible for any and all frame damage. Guests are responsible for arranging their transport back to the Village. Bikes are not allowed to be rented outside of shop hours, 10:00am - 5:30pm) and there are no overnight/multi-day rentals at this time.
