Conveniently located only 11 miles from Schweitzer Mountain, on the shores of Lake Pend Oreille, Sandpoint has it all including a thriving arts community, fantastic restaurants, and local craft beers & wines. Stop into MickDuff's, Trinity at City Beach, Eichardt's, or The Fat Pig for lunch or dinner before heading up to the mountain - you'll be glad you did!
Year round, there's plenty to do, plenty to see, and plenty of places to play! Summertime offers the renowned Festival at Sandpoint concert series and our locals' favorite - the Farmer's Market, held every Saturday morning and Wednesday afternoons in Farmin Park during June, July & August. Silverwood Theme Park is only 20 minutes away and offers an excellent day of thrills and excitement.

Staying in town is a great option when visiting Schweitzer. There you'll be close to some of the areas best restaurants, bars and shops. Plus, thanks to the SPOT bus, you can ride public transportation from town all the way to Schweitzer's village during the winter season!
