The Selkirk Recreation District's mission is to assist, and enhance the recreation opportunities and transportation system within the Selkirk Recreation District's boundaries. In 1999 a vote by the eligible voters who reside at Schweitzer created the district. District funding is provided by a tax levy. For more information, visit their website.

Visit Sandpoint, a part of the Greater Sandpoint Chamber of Commerce, supports tourism in our community through consistent exposure and customer service. The fabulous town of Sandpoint, Idaho is truly an unspoiled and historic spot, tucked away on the panhandle of north Idaho. The Schweitzer Mountain Community Association (SMCA)
SMCA serves as a residential and commercial association with the primary goal of enhancing the community through services and capital improvements. The SMCA provides services such as architectural review for owners and developers, enforcement of community rules and regulations, support for charitable concerns.
