Schweitzer offers a variety of Multi-Week Lesson Programs for kids, teens, and adults. Choose from Funatics or Mountain Xplorers to extend your child or teen's learning this winter. The Funatics and Mountain Xplorers programs include a Schweitzer Junior Unlimited Pass, except when paired with an Ikon Pass purchase. Looking to spruce up your skills on the slopes? Build on your foundation of ski knowledge and progress your skills with Nice Turns, our adult program.

Funatics
Skiers and snowboarders ages 7-14 will develop their abilities and create mountain memories in this eight-week program. Skiers should be able to make parallel turns and snowboarders should be able to link turns on beginner trails. Participants will be sorted into teams that match their ability level and remain with the same team and coach for the duration of the program.

Mountain Xplorers
Skiers and snowboarders ages 6-13 who are looking for a flexible multi-week program. Participants will ski or ride in ability based groups with our highly trained coaches. Your child can sign up to attend any session, any day that Mountain Xplorers is offered, giving you flexibility in scheduling and your child the chance to make new friends!

Nice Turns
Build a foundation of skiing knowledge and expand your know-how in a small group ranging from 4 to 8 participants. Nice Turns offers one-on-one coaching so you can refine your skills while meeting new ski buddies.

Multi-Week Lesson FAQ

- Participants will be grouped by ability level and maintain the same groups and coaches throughout the season.

- Sessions take place from 9:00am - 3:00pm on Saturdays or Sundays.

- Program starts January 3, 2026 with no classes on MLK or Presidents' Weekends.

- Funatics includes coaching, a Schweitzer season pass, public race course privileges, and gear check.

2025/2026
- MtnX is a flexible multi-week ski and snowboard program for kids ages 6-13 years old.
- Parents will receive a link to sign up for as many sessions as they want on a monthly basis
- All abilities are welcome! You will be grouped with kids with similar abilities.
- Offered Saturdays and Sundays from December 20, 2025 through March 22, 2026. There are also Holiday Sessions every day from December 22, 2025 through January 2, 2026 (excluding Christmas Day).
  • Morning sessions are from 9:30am - 11:45am (drop off at 9:15am)
  • Afternoon sessions are from 12:45pm - 3:00pm (drop off at 12:30pm)
All guests must fill out and sign a 2025/26 Liability Waiver to participate in programs.
