It's time to celebrate at Schweitzer with all kinds of fun events to wrap up the season! Cardboard Box Derby and The Ponderay Rotary fundraiser are just some of the classics! We'll have other fun events for all ages!

Saturday

Costume Theme: Disco Day  Join the fun with a theme dress up day, hoot and holler at your fellow skiers in costume on the slopes.

9:00am - 3:30pm: Buckets of Fun Scavenger Hunt

With buckets of snow comes buckets of fun. Schweitzer is celebrating Schpring Finale weekend with a mountain scavenger hunt. Be the first to locate a bucket stashed around the mountain and in it you will find a bunch of balls. Grab ONE BALL and bring it to the Activity Center, located in the lower level of Humbird, and you will instantly be rewarded with a prize from our friends at Liquid Force and Alpine Haus! The ball you turn in will also enter you into a Grand Prize Raffle where one lucky winner will receive a choice of a Liquid Force Wakesurf Board or Alpine Haus Gift Card redeemable for a pair of skis or snowboard. There are only 98 balls, so your odds of winning the Grand Prize are pretty good, but you must be willing to search the mountain to find a bucket with a ball in it. Hints will be given out throughout the day on Schweitzer’s Instagram Stories, so follow along if you want to play.

(The fine print: Limit 1 ball per person. The ball must be turned into the Activity Center on Saturday, April 1 no later than 3:00pm to claim your prize. The ball you turn in will be entered into a raffle for a grand prize – a choice of Liquid Force Wakesurf Board or Alpine Haus Gift Card redeemable for skis or snowboard. The Grand Prize winner will be chosen randomly. Drawing will take place at 3:30pm on the Lakeview Lodge patio. Must be present to win.)

10:00am – 1:00pm:   Ponderay Rotary Fundraiser
Ponderay Rotary's Duck theme is changed up a bit this year.  The Rotary Club is hosting an open air photo booth in the Schweitzer Village on Saturday, April 1 (Schpring Finale weekend) from 10:00am to 1:00pm where each photo bought for $20 also equals one entry into the Rotary Club's big raffle which is a Schweitzer Season Pass for next winter!  Raffle winner to be drawn promptly at 1:00pm.  For $20, you get a high quality print to take home and you also receive the digital images right away for sharing and posting.  The photographer can also create a fun boomerang video with your group for an additional charge of $5.  And there's more... Lucky the Duck, Ponderay Rotary's mascot, will be in the Village and available for an appearance in your photo shots.  Meanwhile, kids can play A Buck a Duck to win prizes (throwing little ducks into a corn hole board for $1 throw).  

Come on up to the Village with friends and family and take home a great mountain memory picture.  Get your Christmas card done early, right!  You might even be the lucky winner of the 23-24 Schweitzer Season Pass which is nothing to quack at!  Proceeds benefit Ponderay Rotary’s Educational Scholarship Program and local community projects.

10:00am - 2:00pm:  Scavenger Hunt in the Village for Kids
Start at the Activity Center and we’ll send you on your way to do fun challenges and earn chances to win prizes in our free raffle.

Noon - 2:00pm:   5 Person Tandem Team Ski Race
Grab 4 of your best friends, family members, neighbors or strangers and try to lay down the fastest time in our Tandem Team Ski Race! 5 people on one pair of skis (5 bindings per ski – think snow shoe bindings) will race from one end of the village and back. The fastest team of the day wins a 5-pack of summer lift tickets and a $50 Schweitzer Gift Card. Costumes encouraged!

(Fine print: The event will run from Noon – 2pm. The start will be in the village near Crow’s Bench. 5 people per team mandatory. NO hard/ski boots (again, think snowshoe bindings). One run per team. Must sign waivers prior to racing.)

Costume Theme: 90s - Dress up in your finest neon, denim or grunge and join the fun

9:00am - Noon: Lifty Snow Sculpture Contest
Ski around to the various lifts to see amazing creations by our own lifty crew. Submit your vote for your favorite by 3:00pm to the Activity Center (or email activityinfo@schweitzer.com). Lifty team gets a prize, help us decide!

12:30pm: Yellow snow eating contest for kids
Meet outside Lakeview Lodge to compete in this annual favorite. First come first served, under 12 years please.

1:00pm - 2:30pm:  “Over the Line!” Duct Tape and Cardboard Derby
Create a cardboard creation and slide down the hill with up to 4 riders per sled!  You must pre-register.
