Please use these description guidelines when filling out the application form for ability level. Snowboard levels are in italics.

Level 1 - “Never skied or snowboarded” to “learning how to make turns and stop safely”.

Level 3 - Skiing comfortably on all green terrain and easy blue terrain beyond Musical Chairs. Snowboarder: Can turn on heal-side edge, learning toe-side edge.

Level 5 - Skier: Turning parallel only occasionally in a wedge on Ridge Run and other blue slopes. Snowboarder: Able to link toe and heal-side turns on easier terrain.

Level 7 - Skier: Always turning parallel, rarely in a wedge, except on more difficult terrain (Ridge Run, Great Divide, and Zip Down). Snowboarder: Able to link toe and heel edge turns on most terrain. Can ride switch on easier terrain.

Level 9 - Skier: Always turning parallel on all terrain at a safe pace (Pend Oreille, JR, Hollywood). Can vary turn shape and dynamics to adjust for different terrain and snow conditions (powder, bumps, trees, steeps.) Snowboarder:  Able to link toe and heel edge turns on all terrain. Can ride switch on more difficult terrain. Can vary turn shape to adjust for different terrain and snow conditions (powder, bumps, trees, steeps.)

Level 9+ - Skier: Always dynamic parallel on all terrain at a safe pace (KMAX, Pucci’s Chute). Can vary turn shape and dynamics to adjust for different terrain and snow conditions (excellent in powder, bumps, trees, steeps, chutes, terrain park features). Snowboarder: Links dynamic turns on all terrain. Can ride switch, olly on demand and vary turn shape and dynamics to adjust for different terrain and snow conditions (excellent in powder, bumps, trees, steeps, chutes, terrain park features.)
