24th Annual Fall Fest is Back
Over 60 Micro Brews on Tap to Close-Out Summer

Sandpoint, ID – For the last 23 years, Schweitzer has celebrated the end of summer with regional micro-brews, amazing food, and incredible live music. This year is no exception. “It’s pretty awesome that when people in the region think about Labor Day weekend, they immediately include Fall Fest into their plans,” says Schweitzer Marketing & Sales Director, Sean Mirus. “Regardless of what the fickle fall weather does over those three days, people know they will have a good time at the mountain.”

What started as a simple beer tasting event has grown into 3 full days of tastings, featuring some of the Pacific Northwest’s finest ales. “We like to get some of the unique beers from our distributors,” says Mary Weber-Quinn, Schweitzer’s events and activities director. “We really want people to explore their tastes and try new micro-brews from all the incredibly talented brewers in the region.”

Live music is a strong compliment to the unique flavors guests will experience. “We have some great bands from all over the Pacific Northwest scheduled to play,” Weber-Quinn adds. “Mama Doll, Cattywomp & Rust on the Rails on Saturday, Spare Parts, The Incredible Flying Dookie Brothers and Devon Wade on Sunday. Then Monday, two incredible shows with The Marshall Mclean Band at 11am and Stone in Love (a Journey tribute band) at 2:30pm.”

“We’ve had so many fun years of Fall Fest,” adds Mirus. “We really hope to see all our friends and fans again this year!”

Fall Fest begins on Saturday, Sept 3, 2016 and concludes on Monday, Sept 5, 2016. The event runs from 11am-6pm Sat & Sunday and from 11am-4pm on Monday. The ever-popular souvenir mugs, glasses and steins will be on sale all weekend as well as other Fall Fest souvenirs.

Labor Day weekend will be the last full weekend of summer operations on the mountain. Lifts will run daily from 11am-5pm until September 5, 2016.  For more information about Fall Fest, the music line up and all the activities at Schweitzer, visit www.schweitzer.com.
