Schweitzer Mountain Resort is celebrating the start of summer with 7B Sunday on June 26, 2016. "As we kick off the start of Schweitzer's summer season, 7B Sunday becomes the perfect opportunity for visitors & locals to learn about all the wonderful things we have in our backyard," said Schweitzer's Marketing Manager Dig Chrismer. "Bonner County, which is identified as '7B' on Idaho license plates, is such a vibrant place and this is our chance to celebrate everything that's unique about our area."
The resort will be offering free chairlift rides that Sunday from 11am-5pm with vendor booths set up throughout the village. "Come up and explore, not just the mountain but all that 7B has to offer," said Brandon Peterson, Events Manager for Schweitzer. "Friends of Scotchman Peaks Wilderness, Seven Sisters Catering, Wanderlust Outfitters and Roamin Pizza Chariot are just few of the vendors that are going to be here."
"We will have free live music throughout the afternoon from local 7B Musicians - The Monarch Mountain Band, Brown Salmon Truck and The Flying Dookie Brothers," added Chrismer. "Great music from some great local bands during this mountain wide block party for Bonner County."
Schweitzer's summer operations will begin in earnest on Friday, June 24, 2016 with scenic chairlift rides, zip line, Monkey Jumper, climbing wall and sluice box open daily from 11am-5pm until September 5, 2016.
