Schweitzer Announces Opening of 2016/17 Season

Schweitzer Mountain Resort is pleased to announce the start of the 2016/17 season on Friday, December 2, 2016. "Thanks to some perfect temps for snowmaking partnered with a great base of natural snowfall, we are ready to get this season started," said Marketing Manager Dig Chrismer.

The resort plans on daily operations starting Friday with Musical Chairs and Basin Express Quad running from 9am-3:30pm. Adult full day lift tickets will be $45. Saturday, December 3, the resort plans to add the Lakeview Triple to daily operations with adult lift tickets at $55.

"The forecast looks good for additional snowfall in the coming weeks, making it possible to add more lifts and terrain as we can," added Chrismer. "All in all, with the long range La Nina forecast, the opening of the Sky House at the summit and the approaching Christmas holidays, there’s so much to be excited about at Schweitzer right now. We're really looking forward to an amazing 2016/17 season."
