Summer Homecoming with 7B Sunday at Schweitzer Mountain Resort

Resort Offering Free Chairlift Rides to the Summit

With warm weather taking hold in the region, Schweitzer Mountain Resort is looking forward to its summer opening weekend and the resort’s 3rd annual 7B Sunday on June 25. “This event has really grown over the past couple of years and we are thrilled to be the hosts for this ‘summer homecoming’ as it were,” said Schweitzer Marketing Manager Dig Chrismer. “Being able to have so many fantastic local organizations, vendors, neighbors and friends with us on 7B Sunday sets the tone for the whole summer at Schweitzer. We couldn’t imagine a better way to kick things off.”

7B Sunday offers local business, restaurants, associations, and organizations based in Bonner County the opportunity to share their passions directly with Schweitzer’s guests that Sunday. “We know that the free chairlift ride is a big draw for people but it’s so great to see our guests taking time before or after heading to the summit to learn about all the wonderful things we have in Bonner County,” she says.

Besides the free chairlift rides, Schweitzer will also have free live music from The Monarch Mountain Band, The Brandon & Cole Show and the Incredible Flying Dookie Brothers. Schweitzer’s village activities will be open and guests will have a chance to experience the impressive Sky House at the summit.

“With the addition of Sky House, visitors have a true summit destination where they can relax, take in the view of Lake Pend Oreille and enjoy a fabulous lunch,” continues Chrismer. “Honestly, I’m amazed at the number of people who have lived in Sandpoint for a long time, their whole lives even, who still haven’t visited the mountain. 7B Sunday and Sky House are perfect excuses to finally take this experience off anyone’s bucket list.”

Schweitzer’s summer operations will begin in earnest on Friday, June 23, 2017 with scenic foot passenger chairlift rides, lift served downhill mountain biking, zip line, Monkey Jumper, climbing wall and sluice box open daily from 11am-5pm until September 4, 2017.  For more information about Schweitzer’s summer activities and “7B Sunday,” visit schweitzer.com or call 1-877-487-4643. Interested vendors must register for the event by Friday, June 16, 2017 via the website.
